2012 trans tech student safety transport

Trans Tech Bus (Trans Tech) is recalling certain model year 2007-2014 Student Safety Transporter and RoadStar and 2008-2014 Student Transporter Aero school buses manufactured January 1, 2007, through September 1, 2014, and equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by Ricon Corporation. The platform side plate of the affected wheelchair lifts may crack.

Trans Tech has notified owners and Ricon will supply supplemental platform support bumpers. Any platform that has already started cracking will be replaced, free of charge. Transportation Collaborative, Inc. (TCI) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Trans Tech Bus Student Safety Transporter school buses manufactured December 1, 2012, to April 23, 2015. The affected vehicles were built to accommodate 35 children or 23 adults. However, when the bus is loaded to this capacity, the load may exceed the rated capacity of the rear axle and tires.
