SUMMARY
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Peterbilt 579 trucks. The Intellipark Tractor Park Valve Module (PVM) may intermittently become stuck in the un-parked position and fail to move into the park position when the park switch is activated.

The right-hand gear shifter stalk connectors may have been improperly crimped, resulting in a loss of communication.

Dealers will inspect and replace the gear shifter assembly as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed April 24, 2024. A second notice will be mailed once the final remedy is available December 15, 2025, then phased after that. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop functioning.
