Bluecar SAS (Bluecar) is recalling certain model year 2016 Bluecar hybrid-electric vehicles manufactured June 7, 2015, to September 11, 2015. The affected vehicles have a gear shift lever that may break preventing the car from maintaining the intended gear position.

Bluecar has notified the one purchaser of the affected vehicles and the remedy of replacing the gear shift with a newly designed gear lever has begun, free of charge.

The power train software of the affected vehicles may shut down power to the car after certain driving conditions such as high acceleration with immediate release of the accelerator, or harsh braking action.

Bluecar notified the owner of the fleet of vehicles, and all affected vehicles have received corrected power train software, free of charge. The recall was completed on December 23, 2015. Bluecar's number for this recall is Software Shut Off.
