Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will mail owner letters on behalf of Shyft Group, and DTNA service facilities will replace the tie rod clamp bolts and nuts, free of charge. Shyft Group will replace the fasteners that attach the shock mount bracket to the underside of the vehicle frame, install a spacer, and inspect and replace, as necessary, the shock mount bracket. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on August 6, 2021. A second letter will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-582-3454. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 21-19.
